The rustic furnishings and welcoming atmosphere sets the Peppermill Restaurant apart. We saw that as soon as we walked in the door. Peppermill shares a dedication to exceptional service, with a scratch kitchen providing generously portioned and quality food. I especially liked my over-stuffed omelet when we dropped in for breakfast, leaving Sokokis Lake long enough to grab a meal (the restaurant has a great view of the lake). When in Maine, eat seafood! Last Thursday, we enjoyed a baked stuffed haddock with crabmeat that was superb, made with Ritz crackers and lots of butter! The broiled sea scallops also had crackers and butter, and it too was great. The pricing here is great, with nothing over $18, with most items $12 and up. They feature nightly pricing specials here, too (I didn't write them down, so you have to go to their website). From entertainment on the weekends, to sports-tuned televisions in The Millroom Tavern, we found that entertainment combined with daily specials and an extensive “down home” menu at the Peppermill exceeded expectations! We like this place too much, and hope to see you there, as we plan to stay in the Limerick area until October.

**** Thursday nights special specially good!” Reviewed 1/23/2013
Since this restaurant moved from a smaller location in the center of Limerick, it is now a restaurant and a sports pub complete with pool tables. The owner-manager really keeps close tabs on everything and checks out that patrons are happy. Thursday nights there is a full course meal two for $20. (Editor’s note: now $24.99 for TWO people!) The entrees are set and offer a good variety. A casual, homey place with booths and a good small Maine town feel.
**** Basic good food in a cute restaurant and sports bar” Reviewed 8/26/2012
The Peppermill is a very basic no frills place serving good food. The outside of the restaurant is being worked on so it is basically unpainted wood when you go up the stairs to the entrance which put us off a little bit at first. Once inside we were promptly greeted and shown to a booth. The decor is homey with dark red paint and knotty pine wood accents. We shared a booth against the wall that gave you peek a boo views of the lake across the street. Our waitress was friendly, prompt and provided good service. This is not a fancy place at all. There is a very small salad bar with iceberg lettuce, peppers, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and a couple types of salad dressing. My sister and I had the fried scallops dinner and it was great. The scallops were sweet and the breading not oily. The dinner came with coleslaw and french fries that were also well prepared. The dinner also came with a basket of different types of bread. One was a warm cheese type bread that we really good. We were stuffed after eating all our dinner so we didn't order dessert. If you are looking for a good basic meal in a casual restaurant try the Peppermill. There is also a large attached sports bar if you are looking for a drink and a snack.
